Orthopaedic & Trauma Unit
The Department is geared to look after all aspects of trauma, poly-trauma, joint replacement including revision surgery, spine surgery, paediatric orthopaedic, minimally invasive surgery (MIS), arthroscopy surgery, sports medicine, leg lengthening and deformity correction.

Trauma and general orthopaedics :
The Orthopaedics Department of this hospital is a tertiary reference centre for all varieties of trauma. Consultants are available round the clock to attend all type of bony and musculo-skeletal trauma. The Department is backed up by fully equipped operative rooms for any procedure to be done in short time.
Facilities available are reduction of fracture & plaster application, plating, closed pinning, interlock nailing, hip fracture fixation, change of ball of hip joint, wiring, pinning, external fixator application / ilizarov fixation (bad & crushed skin with fractures) and fixation of spinal injuries.
Paediatric Orthopaedics:
Department is well equipped to manage all type of fracture in children by operation or plaster.
Paediatric orthopaedic surgeries including polio, cerebral palsy, club foot, CDH (by birth hip problems), CTEV (twisting foot), Perthes disease, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, congenital anomalies are regularly managed in the department.
Hip & Knee Surgery:
Department is well equipped to manage all kind of hip and knee injuries including fracture of neck femur, Intertrochanteric fracture, fracture of shaft of femur, fracture of lower end of femur, fracture of tibial condyle, fracture of patella, fracture of shaft of fibia, fracture of distal end of tcbia.
footer and Ankle Surgery :
The department is fully geared up for all kinds of complex foot & ankle surgeries. All kind of foot deformities, like hallux valgus, bunion, cavus and diabetic foot are managed surgically.
Shoulder and Upper Limb :
Department is well equipped to manage injuries of shoulder, humerus fracture, elbow injury and forearm injury.
Hand Surgery:
Department is well-equipped for management of hand trauma including reconstruction of crush injury hand and various fractures in the hand and wrist. The department is well supported by Plastic Surgery department and Physiotherapy department.
Spine and Back Surgery :
All kinds of spine surgeries, including spinal fixation in spinal injuries, disc prolapsed are being done regularly in this Department.
